Stapleford Miniature Railway
Based in
Stapleford Park, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, the Stapleford
Miniature Railway is a historic 10.25" gauge railway running through
nearly two miles of heavily engineered scenic line, featuring
replicas of Box and Primrose tunnels, along with five live steam
1/5th scale locos including GWR Saint, LMS Jubilee and two giant
North Eastern American locos, restored and maintained by volunteers.
Only opens twice per year, (for local hospice) In 2007, open days
will be 16th & 17th June and 26th & 27th August.
